Abstract
Traditional analysis of l demands of library users is based mainly on questionnaires. It is also practical to analyze is the COUNTER-based statistics of licenzed materials usage. Nowadays library services implicate generation of big data which is due to OPAC exploitation. Vast arrays of log files of servers of the library remote access system as well as the library website servers are even more impressive. All these data produce new channels for extraction of bibliometric information, which is additional to traditional bibliometric methods and altmetrics.

Abstract
The Map of Russian Science information analytic system and its operation principles are described briefly. The practical results of NPLS&T’s designing and supporting the systems and several principles of their operation are examined. The statistics of responses to user inquiries in 2014-2016 III quarter, qualitative indicators of imported data, their sources and types are quoted; several analytical results obtained through the system instruments and data are given. Publication activity of Russian research and education institutions of various departmental affiliations is analyzed. The findings of inter-state analysis of Russian researchers’ publications are cited, too. The article is prepared within the framework of the 2016 Government Order “Information Analytic Support and Development of The Map of Russian Science information system”.

Abstract
Two versions of the analytical method for publication activity of faculty members are examined, namely: the computer-aided analysis and that using The Map of Russian Science information analytic system. The performance of Moscow State Institute of Culture departments is compared, and the leaders are specified by several indicators: number of publications in Russian Science Citation Index, number of citations excluding self citation, maximum citations per publication. The author concludes that publication activity analysis should result in an action plan aimed to improve research and scientific studies at universities.

Publication activity of TatNIPIneft institute for 5-year period (2011-2015), research papers citation (data of the Russian Science Citation Index), average number of citations per publication, distribution by publication types, are analyzed. The core periodicals for the Institute’s staff publications, their impact factors and the Supreme Attestation Commission’s and international analytic databases inclusion are specified. The rating of TatNIPIneft researchers by the number of publications is given.

Abstract
Problematic issues of introduction of the professional standard «The expert in the field of library information activities» in libraries of the Russian Federation are considered. Professional standard requirements for mastering information and communication technologies are analyzed. The possibilities for assessing expert’s compliance with professional standards, prospects for professional certification, professional development and retraining of personnel are examined. The vectors of professional improvement of library specialists through various education activities, self-education and project involvement are discussed.

Abstract
In article attempt of the substantial analysis of the author’s professional correspondence is made. Typical questions asked by librarians are examined in detail. The author specifies that in case of receiving similar questions he recognizes the need for preparing a consultation or an article. Examples of the questions demanding serious preliminary work before answering are given. The author quotes and comments on several statements by librarians including those working abroad. The problems of professional selection, self-education and self-improvement hold an important place in the professional correspondence. Organization of the author’s correspondence archive is discussed.

Abstract
The third edition of the textbook in the document studies prepared by Professor N. S. Larkov [1], Dr. Sc. (History), Tomsk State University. The communication approach towards defining document as an information message is analyzed. The problems of applying communication method popular in technological sciences are revealed. The author proves that documents are social information communication objects which has to be reflected in the term definition. The necessity for transfer from the theory of communications to the theory of social communications contemplating society institutional structure is justified. The author emphasizes that within the social context, documents as information resources can be used only if trusted in relation to its semantic symmetry.

Abstract
Results of building the centralized system of library and information automation in the research centers of the Russian Academy of Sciences Siberian Branch in the cities of Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Omsk are discussed. Over the first three years of the Single Automation Center, many complementary options for using the single reference and search services for building catalogs and generating and using authority files were revealed and implemented.

IRBIS64 potential for integration with various identification systems based on user cards of different types and providers is revealed. Specifications of various RFID-cards are analyzed for their inclusion into standard library RFID-systems. Prospects for integrating IRBIS LAS with Master-Card system are examined. The author emphasizes that support of digital user cards in non-library system would enable to find appropriate solution for practically every integrated library automation project.
