V. A. Minkina’s scientific legacy: On the 85-th anniversary

Abstract
Scientific legacy is generally viewed as a documental: the ideas. concepts, and theories are most often represented in researcher’s publications and ego-documents. The authors analyze the structure of scientific legacy and characterize it for the natural and social sciences, and the humanities. The academic achievements of Valentina A. Minkina are examined through the lens of modern ideas of scientific legacy phenomenon. The brief biography characterizes Minkina’s scientific creativity and the influence of her immediate circle on her work. The study of the publication flow demonstrates the wide scope of her interests in science, diversity of published materials, and interdisciplinary character of her legacy. Based on the citation analysis, the reviewers conclude on its significance for today’s researchers and librarians. They also emphasize the role of Valentina Minkina as an organizer of studies with the special focus on the scientific school of “sectoral bibliography for information management” which Minkina has been leading for over 20 years. The reviewers offer the prospective vectors of studies to be grounded in Minkina’s works.
